Maples Messenger: Broken Water Line

So yesterday was a really tough day! We discovered late Sunday night when we went to the garage to get chicken and bread from the freezer for the week there was water on the floor. We began to check it out and first thought it was maybe the frig, then the water heater, then, well we found it. Under the pedestal that the water heater sits on Nathan knocked out a piece of wet drywall and there we saw a tiny spray of water, like a pin hole size. We are sure that this tiny water spray had been spraying for quite sometime. Jared's wall was wet in his room as that is the side where the water was hitting, but his bed is on that wall, so we did not see it. (It reminds me of sin, how we can think no one will know and it is that deception of the enemy and then it finally shows itself and has to be dealt with) Nathan thought no worries, in the morning we will go to ace hardware get a piece of new copper piping and take the bad one off, put the good one on and it will cost about $3 and a few hours. You know how it rolls, nothing can be that easy.....one hole turned into 3 more, the pipe was leaking under the foundation and the concrete had to be busted out to get to it and so discouragement started to creep in.......several more trips to ace and a call into Larry Bettendorf, our awesome friend who knows A LOT about plumbing as his dad was one all his life. Larry came after work to help Nathan and by about midnight we had water back in our house. YEA!!! Thank you God!! Our Pastor Linn shared on Sunday about Giants that need slaying in our lives and how we need to trust that God will see us through even when things seem so impossible at times. I just kept telling God, I am trusting you today and I know you will see us through this. Praise HIM, HE always comes through. He provided us with a friend with knowledge and he was willing to sacrifice his evening to help us!! Thank you Larry!
I am so thankful for water in my house, for food and a washer and dryer, for a dish washer and a shower with hot water. I am so grateful for all God has blessed us with and how HE takes care of us! I never want to take it for granted!!
